American Hypocrisy: They love Desperate Housewives but won’t admit it

A brief comparison of two survey results; one from Networked Insights and the other is from Nielsen, clearly indicated that a lot of Americans watch morally-sick Desperate Housewives but they don’t want to talk about it at social networks. Special thanks to Erick Schonfeld from TechCrunch who discovered this amazing finding earlier today:
Desperate Housewives, No. 2 on TV, doesn’t even rank on social networks, possibly because people don’t like to talk about their guilty pleasures.

Desperate Housewives, American Hypocrisy

So, what can we gather from such finding?

Can we say that Americans are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites?

Can we say that Americans are nothing but a bunch of pretenders?

I’m not going to say anything but you may draw your own conclusion. Have a nice day everyone! :-)
