BackType: Blog Comments Aggregator

BackType, Blog Comments Aggregator

It looks like we have another Twitter-like service these days. BackType is the name and scraping or aggregating blog comments is their game.
BackType is a service that lets you find, follow and share comments from across the web. Whenever you write a comment with a link to your website, BackType attributes it to you. We give comment authors a profile featuring all the comments they've written on the Internet. If you don't have a website to use when you fill out comment forms, sign up and use one of ours.

Unlike Twitter, you do not have to spend too much on BackType. As matter of fact, setting up your very own BackType account and profile is a one time ‘set-it, forget it’ operation.

BackType receives rave reviews from TechCrunch and their many readers so far. They all liked it and I like BackType too but I’m not going to waste my time following other people’s blog comments. I got a lot of other better things to do. :-)

I strongly recommend you folks to signup with BackType today and start claiming your blog comments before someone else do!

Hi there Mike,

No problem! You have something great there but you folks must come up with some extras to make it happen.

Perhaps some nice widgets that bloggers can put on their blogs to show their comments on some other blogs.

I'm sure you folks at BackType can easily create a few.

  • Commenters are encouraged to leave comments via OpenID but if you have problems in leaving one via OpenID, please refer to this excellent guide.
  • Comments that add tremendous value to the blog post will not only get approved but also will be personally tweeted (learn how!) by the blogger behind this blog, giving commenters the opportunity to get even more traffic and gain even more exposure to their sites or blogs.
  • Comments that have links in the bodies of comments will never be approved.
  • Preferably comments should be made in English but comments in other languages are also acceptable.
