Tuscaloosa, Alabama Tornado: Before & After Aerial Photos are now available!

This is just a quick post to mark the release of before and after images of areas in Tuscaloosa, Alabama that were devastated by a huge tornado on April 27th 2011. Suffice to say that I’m pretty much speechless after seeing the extent of damage the tornado has inflicted to the poor city. Do you want to see those before and after aerial photos? Tuscaloosa, Alabama Tornado: Before and After Aerial Images are now available!


The ‘before’ aerial photos are provided by Google and but it’s the ‘after’ aerial images that folks like us wanted to see the most. Thanks to NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), the ‘after’ aerial images are now available and they were taken at 5,000’ above ground with a NOAA’s King Air aircraft.
