Do you know that Wolfram|Alpha, a new search engine that has been dubbed as the most promising Google Killer by British tech geeks will be launched in May 2009?
Google Killer in the making: Wolfram|Alpha
Cuil, the last so called great Google Killer turns out to be a dud and now we are going to have a new possible Google Killer in this coming May 2009. The new search engine is Wolfram|Alpha and it is the brainchild of Stephen Wolfram (founder of Wolfram Research).
So, what is so special about Wolfram|Alpha? Let’s hear it straight from the Man himself:
“…had two crucial ingredients: Mathematica and NKS. With Mathematica, I had a symbolic language to represent anything—as well as the algorithmic power to do any kind of computation. And with NKS, I had a paradigm for understanding how all sorts of complexity could arise from simple rules…”

What the heck is that? There’s only one way to find out, wait for the month of May 2009 and check out Wolfram|Alpha when it goes live. :)
