Recompute: The world’s cheapest desktop computer?

Let’s take a quick look at Recompute that one day will probably be the world’s cheapest desktop computer!

More about Recompute

Recompute is the brainchild of Brenden Macaluso who submitted his idea to Core 77’s Greener Gadgets Design Competition. Core 77 liked it very much and pushed Brenden’s design to their Greener Gadgets Top 50 list!

Brenden Macaluso is tired of plastic/metal desktop casings/housings and came up with a cardboard-based desktop casing/housing! Recompute casing/housing is made from corrugated cardboards that have been carefully cut and glued together layer by layer! If you are thinking that Recompute is a fire hazardous product, Brenden said that corrugated cardboards offer good ventilation.

Will that solves computer overheating problems for Recompute desktop computers?

I don’t know but I do know that Recompute will be the world’s cheapest desktop computer once it goes out of production one day. How about that!? :)
