Family Safety beta blocks AdSense ads

Windows Live Family Safety beta is an excellent free web filtering and monitoring software but it has the tendency to block AdSense ads!

web filtering, monitoring software, family safety beta

Yes, that’s what I found out earlier today and the discovery stunned me. As a parent, I honestly think that Windows Live Family Safety beta is an excellent free web filtering and monitoring software but as an AdSense publisher, the stunning fact that Family Safety beta free web filtering and monitoring software blocks Google AdSense ads is totally unacceptable!

What’s wrong with AdSense ads? Have Microsoft gone nuts!?

The default Family Safety filter setting that comes with every installation of Family Safety beta free web filtering and monitoring software is ‘Basic’ but that is enough to block Google AdSense ads. I have also discovered that in order to bring down such blockade, I have to change my Family Safety beta free web filtering and monitoring software filter setting from ‘Basic’ to ‘Custom’, select and enables everything.

Come on Microsoft, I know you and Google are fierce business competitors but this Family Safety beta-blocks-AdSense-ads thing is ridiculous!
