Tech Geeks: 38,538 lost their jobs but they’re more concerned with gay-bashing Proposition 8

The number of layoffs in the American tech industry has increased significantly, TechCrunch who monitored this bizarre phenomena in the last two months said that 38,538 tech pros (geeks basically) have been laid off so far!

However, I do notice that most American tech geeks are not at all concerned/spooked about those rising number of layoffs. I dare say that they are more concerned with Proposition 8 that will eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry in California if it is passed!

If you have time to spare, take a look and compare the number of comments left behind by readers of TechCrunch. I already did a quick comparison and found that there were no more than 150 to 200 comments in each of TechCrunch’s past layoff-announcement posts but check this out. As of time of writing, there are 410 comments in TechCrunch’s ‘anti-Proposition 8’ post and it was only posted last Thursday!

I have heard of stories saying that tech geeks are mostly gays but this is pretty ridiculous!
