Microsoft to re-bid Yahoo at $22?

Yes, it’s not over yet, folks. If we go by what has been reported by REUTERS, certain Yahoo shareholders are proposing that Microsoft should buy Yahoo at $22 per share.

Let’s say that Microsoft accepts the proposal, I wonder when the re-bid will take place. Certainly not in the next few months since Yahoo stock (closed at $12.65 yesterday) is plunging to the bottomless pit as of time of writing.

Personally, I don’t think Microsoft would have any interest in the proposal. Tech stocks are performing very badly at the moment and Microsoft is not doing well either. Those Yahoo shareholders are probably wasting their time but let us see how Microsoft will respond to the proposal. Stay tuned!
