Apple geeks strike back

What do you know? It looks like those geeks at Apple have just fired another volley of stupidity at Microsoft, their staunch enemy! Take a look at the following new Apple TV ads.

Preposterous, aren’t they?

Even Erick Schonfeld from TechCrunch gave me the impression that Apple has gone overboard this time. Erick said:
…The ad is funny (see above), but it does seem petty and elitist…

…It is also hypocritical. Apple’s advertising budget is also pretty massive. I mean, I see more Apple commercials on TV than ads for Barack Obama. Apple is on track to spend more than $3.5 billion on SG&A (selling, general, and administrative expenses) for its fiscal year that ended September 30…

I have one good advice for Microsoft. Please do not retaliate; do not fight such stupidity with more stupidity. Let those Apple geeks make complete fools of themselves. Microsoft is doing okay so far with their own line of TV ads and they should continue to build on that success. Just ignore those Apple geeks.
