Just a quick post to let Garmin users in Malaysia (or anywhere else in the world) know that Malsingmaps (MSM) has released a brand new Malaysia Singapore (includes Sabah, Sarawak & Brunei) map and here’s the good news; it is free and comes unlocked for everybody! :) Read on for more.

I have downloaded a copy (gmapsupp.img) and installed it to my Garmin Mobile XT and it is huge! 50.3MB of excellent mapping data! You can now download it straight from Malsingmaps (requires registration).
Here’s the sad news. :( It seems that one of the mappers behind all that wonderful mapping data is currently undergoing cancer treatment at the local NCI Cancer Hospital. Please, don’t forget to give him a few strong words of encouragement. :)
