I really don’t know when they implemented this but I just discovered it this morning after receiving a simple SMS (refer to the following screenshot) via my Celcom Broadband mobile number.

Celcom allows Celcom Broadband subscribers to ‘bypass throttling’

It seems that Celcom Broadband subscribers whose accounts have been throttled because they’ve hit their monthly usage volume allocations may now ‘bypass throttling’ by purchasing additional bandwidth volumes. As you can see from the above screenshot, the prices are quite affordable; only RM5 for an additional 1GB and RM20 for that mouth-watering 5GB. :) In order to purchase additional bandwidth volumes, existing Celcom Broadband subscribers may contact Celcom Online Customer Service (OCS), Customer Care Centre or you may also do it via SMS (*119# or *118# for voice and data customers only).
