Windows 7 Screencasting tool? Problem Steps Recorder

Sorry to disappoint you but the Problem Steps Recorder is not a screencasting tool. It is more like an advanced screen capture tool and it can only be used to record problems or reproduce problems that you are experiencing on Windows 7. According to Microsoft, “The Problem Steps Recorder in the Windows 7 operating system is a feature that enables users to record their interactions with an application and provide a detailed screen-by-screen view with accompanying information.” Microsoft also said that the Problem Steps Recorder can be used by Windows 7 users to report Windows 7 bugs and problems more efficiently (with richer information) to IT Pros.

To execute the Problem Steps Recorder, type ‘psr.exe’ at the Windows 7 start menu and hit Enter. Watch the following video (playing down below) to see it in action and you can also learn more about the Problem Steps Recorder as well. Have fun! :)
