How to find ideas for your blog

Visit as many social bookmarking sites as you can and then find hot topics for your next blog post seems to be the most common way to get ideas for many bloggers out there but that is very cumbersome nowadays. What if you can just visit one site and find out what is hot in the blogosphere and social web; everything under one roof?

Thanks to Luke Stevens, bloggers can now just visit Newsified and get bird’s eye view of hot topics at top social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Metafilter, Reddit, Delicious and YouTube. Take note that Newsified has hourly updates (oh no, we need real time updates!), thanks to their Yahoo Pipes and RSS feed-grabbing mechanisms. Robin Wauters from TechCrunch describes Newsified as; ‘…a minimal aggregation project that offers a centralized birds-eye overview of the most popular social news / bookmarking websites…’

Newsified has great promise but Luke needs to put in more feeds, there are so many other great social bookmarking sites out and so far Newsified only grabs top news/topics from 5 social news/social bookmarketing sites. We need more! :-)
