CNN awed Americans with the first real Hologram on American TV

This is cool, so cool that William Shatner will probably smile and say that his Star Trek movies were the catalyst for today’s holographic technology. Something incredible happened to American TV yesterday, CNN awed Americans and that includes hard-to-impress tech geeks with a live, talking and interactive hologram of Jessica Yellin. Behold! America’s first hologram on TV! (Applause, everybody! :-))

NOT A HOLOGRAM!
I wish people would stop calling this a hologram. A hologram is about lasers and interference patterns and such. This was a ring of cameras.

Which is cool enough in its own right, but not a hologram.
