Bloglines losing traffic and rendered kaput?

I’m surprised to hear it too but it seems that Bloglines, a very popular personal news aggregator that is quite popular among the ladies is having serious problems at the moment.

One piece of news in particular reported that Bloglines failed to update feeds from thousands of blogs and many of them can be considered as authority blogs (TechCrunch is one of them).

What the f*ck is wrong with Bloglines?

I took a quick peek at Bloglines’s traffic rankings at Alexa and found that Bloglines have lost significant traffic/visitors in the last few months. It does look as if Bloglines is a sinking ship and many have started to abandon Bloglines and go for some other better feed readers (Check out Regator).

Bloglines, Alexa traffic ranking

The news doesn’t really matter to me since I only have a silly blog that receives few traffic referrals from Bloglines but I do hope that Bloglines will sort out their problems fast.
