IconDial: Free Phone Calls?

TechCrunch featured a brand new service earlier today. It is a service that allows people like you to make free phone calls from the Web to any number (landline & mobile) anywhere in the world.

This free phone calls service is brought to you by IconDial. Like any other free phone call services, IconDial is supported by advertisers. You can expect to hear a short audio ad right after dialing a number at IconDial.

I have given IconDial a quick test drive and found that the audio ad is not all obtrusive. What is more important is that IconDial really allows people to make free phone calls. There’s only one problem though, the quality of the calls is not at all impressive. I wish those folks at IconDial will work on improving the quality of the calls very soon if they are really serious about providing this sort of service in the World Wide Web. :-)
