Google’s 10th Birthday!

Hey! Do you know that Google is celebrating their 10th birthday at the moment?

Happy 10th Birthday, Google! :-)

Now, let us join in the celebration and see what Google has contributed to the whole world in the last 10 years. Let’s start by enjoying the following video hosted by David Seiberg from The Early Show on CBS, David goes back in time and takes a quick look at Google’s first 10 years. Enjoy!

Incredible! Google receives more than 7,000 job applications a day! I guess everyone wants to work for Google. I would love too but nothing beats the fun and freedom of working from home. Even Google could not beat that. :-)

We need more than just indexed web pages!

Michael Arrington from TechCrunch is skeptical about Marrisa Mayer’s (Google’s Vice President of Search Product and User Experience) claim that search engines (she was probably talking about Google) have solved 90-95% of problems in Search.

I have to agree with Michael though. Search engines have to do more! What we have right now is great but it is not enough. We need more than just indexed web pages!
