Mini Inspiron: Dell’s Announcement next week?

UberGizmo indicated that Dell will be having a media event next week and Dell might use the event to announce their mysterious new line of low-cost notebook, Mini Inspiron to the whole world.

Actually, nobody knows what the heck Mini Inspiron is all about. So far only Brian Lam from Gizmodo had the opportunity to look at it after bumping into Michael Dell in a tech show last May. He asked a lot of questions but Michael Dell only revealed that the netbook, Mini Inspiron, is targeted for developing countries.

Dell Mini Inspiron features as provided byUberGizmo:
  • Prices may start from $299
  • Runs on Intel Atom
  • 4GB SSD (Solid-State Drive)
  • 8.9” display (1024x600)
  • 512MB RAM

I’m sorry; I have nothing more on Mini Inspiron’s specs and technical details at the moment. Nobody has more and we just have to wait for Dell to provide everything for us.

Stay tuned and cheers!

I just found out the Mini Inspiron is now known as Dell E Series and there are rumors flying around that a 10” version will be made available in October and a 8.9” will be launched this month.
