LG Display has the world’s first mass produced Full HD 3D LCD monitor

Do you know that LG Display has proudly announced to the rest of the world earlier today that they are in the process of mass-producing the world’s first Full HD 3D LCD monitor/panel? Read on for more.

As you can see from the above photo, LG Display’s Full HD 3D LCD monitor/panel requires the use of a pair of shutter glasses in order to fully appreciate its HD 3D experience. LG Display mentioned that their first Full HD 3D LCD monitor/panel will have a 23” LCD screen display that offers picture quality that is more or less twice sharper than those other HD 3D display screens that we have in the market today.

After reading the official press release, I have the suspicion that LG Display purposely mass-produces this particular Full HD 3D LCD monitor/panel to meet plans recently announced by the Korean Communications Commission. The Korean Communications Commission has some big plans; they want to launch the world’s first Full HD 3D terrestrial broadcasting next year!

Sorry folks but I have no idea when it will be available (perhaps 2010 if we go by my suspicion as mentioned earlier) and I also don’t know how much you have to fork out to get one since LG Display did not provide such information in their press release.
