SuperSpeed USB 3.0 revealed!

SuperSpeed USB 3.0 was unveiled earlier today by the USB Implementers Forum and it was a jaw-dropper!

Theoretically, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 can support data transfer speeds of up to 4.8Gbps, that’s 10 times better than the previous spec, USB 2.0. As expected, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 is also more power-efficient than USB 2.0.

We won’t be able to test and enjoy SuperSpeed USB 3.0 just yet. News has it that SuperSpeed USB 3.0 will be packaged as standard items on computers only late next year. We still have a long way to go!
