Bedmap: Google Maps-powered Hotel Search Service. Truly exciting! Very promising!

A new online mapping service has just been launched earlier today and it caught my attention right away simply because it is different and clearly stands out from the rest! Let’s take a quick look at Bedmap, possibly one of the world’s most promising online hotel search service providers.

Bedmap describes itself as a map-based hotel search tool where users can practically browse locations anywhere in the world, compare rates and make bookings where prices are guaranteed to be the lowest! Bedmap is also powered by hotels.com, giving users more than 90,000 available hotels nicely mapped on one interactive Google Maps-powered map.

I’m a sucker for maps and mapping apps. Believe me, I know a good map when I see one and let me tell you today that Bedmap has a convenient map that is made near-perfect for travelers. Travelers are always in a hurry and they normally do not have the time to flip directories and search for hotels. With Bedmap, a quick glance is all it takes to compare rates and I really like Bedmap’s Filter Results checkboxes. With one or a few simple selections, you can easily customize your map and make it show hotels that fit your needs and expectations.

Not bad for a newly launched hotel search service, not bad at all! Well done, Bedmap!
