Skype-Alternative Raketu opens doors to mass migration of Skype users

I have Skype on my desktop and my laptop. Even though I’m not a frequent Skype user, I have to say that I’m a bit concerned with Microsoft’s recent $8.5 billion acquisition of Skype. When it comes to privacy and security, Microsoft doesn’t fit the picture at all! Sorry Microsoft but your ‘reputation’ is so well known.

Skype-Alternative Raketu opens doors to mass migration of Skype users

There are many Skype alternatives out there but so far only one openly invites existing Skype users to migrate and use their free calling services. The Skype-alternative is Raketu and the company also offers free voice calls, free video calls and free instant messaging. To entice existing Skype users to migrate to Raketu, the company will release a Skype bridge to help Raketu users call their friends on Skype without using Skype. Here’s something interesting about Raketu. Raketu claims that their free calling services are based upon pure P2P technology that does not use supernodes like Skype does. If this is true then we can expect better free calling experience with Raketu.
