Do you know that Nokia currently has the world’s most accurate Indoor Positioning System-based technology? Yes! Nokia has one in the works and today you can see it in action. How does it work? Read on to find out.

High Accuracy Indoor Positioning System (IPS)? Nokia has one in the works!

Everybody knows that GPS works great outdoors but performs badly indoors. However, it seems that such limitation did not stop Nokia from finding ways to overcome it. Today I can say that Nokia has found a way to help users use positioning system indoors but the technology that Nokia is experimenting with right now has little to do with GPS. The new technology that you’re going to see today is (Indoor Positioning System) IPS-based and Nokia claims that their technology is the world’s most accurate! Instead of using satellites (as in GPS), Nokia’s IPS-based technology relies upon signals delivered by positioning beacons to guide users indoors with a 30cm accuracy! Wow!

You can see it in action down below.
