ThinkPad W700ds: Dual screen Lenovo notebook

ThinkPad W700ds is a revolutionary Lenovo notebook; it is the world’s first notebook to have two LCD screens onboard.




ThinkPad W700ds is a new Lenovo ThinkPad notebook announced yesterday, its two LCD screens comprises of:
  1. One 17-inch primary LCD screen (CCFL-backlit 1920x1200)
  2. One 10.6-inch secondary LCD screen (LED-backlit 768x1280)

ThinkPad W700ds, the new Lenovo notebooks will be powered by quad-core Intel Core 2 processors and NVIDIA Quadro mobile graphics CPU (512MB NVIDIA Quadro FX 2700M or 1GB NVIDIA Quadro FX 3700M). It will also come with a pair of conventional hard disk and Solid-state drive bays (up to 960GB of storage?). It might even be packed with up to 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM memory. Man, this is one powerful Lenovo notebook!

There’s only one problem and it’s a big one, ThinkPad W700ds weighs 11 lb! That’s more or less double the weight of ordinary Lenovo notebooks! There goes mobility!

ThinkPad W700ds will retail at a minimum of $3,600 and hit the stores next year, most possibly next January. Start saving money now if you’re interested in buying one new ThinkPad W700ds Lenovo notebook next year. :)
