Facebook Birthday Reminder feature pisses off Facebook developers?

Facebook, the greatest social network (yeah, better than MySpace) in the World Wide Web added a new bonus to their existing birthday notification feature last Friday. It’s nothing big, just giving Facebook users the option to send birthday alerts to their respective emails. See, nothing to shout about.

However, Michael Arrington from TechCrunch gave me the impression that some Facebook developers especially those fond of creating birthday alert apps are not happy with the new added feature at Facebook.

So what?

It is their social network and Facebook can do whatever they want with it. Besides, creating birthday alert apps are so Web 1.0 these days. Stop sulking and find some other better ideas, Facebook developers!
