What happens when greedy capitalists got hold of Twitter?

They will probably monetize everything there is at Twitter and soon people who normally tweet for fun will leave money-sucking Twitter and go for something else. Narendra Rocherolle who was given the opportunity to guest blog about Twitter- monetizing opportunities at TechCrunch gave the following not-so-awesome suggestions for Twitter:

A Pay-to-Follow model
People have to pay money in order to follow somebody probably in the likes of Britney Spears.

A Freemium model
People can follow anybody for free but that they have to pay money (follow me for free at Twitter via @homebiss) in order to see premium tweets

Sucks, isn’t it?

What will do those greedy capitalists think of next? Pay money in order to read spam emails? :-(
