Software testing is a very popular career choice for Indian IT professionals and they are making good money from it. I also knew one work-at-home mom (she has a Certified Tester Advanced Level certification from ISTQB) currently living in UK that is making more than $4,000 dollars per month from software testing and she’s doing it full time from home!
Alas, not everybody can do software testing. It is a very challenging career, full of headaches!
Besides, you need to pass ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certifications and examinations before you can make a living from software testing. If you do not have skills and knowledge in programming languages, you might as well forget about acquiring ISTQB certifications. From what I have heard, ISTQB syllabi are quite tough and not at all easy to understand!
