Dell Latitude E6400: Heavier than the rest?

Let’s take a quick look at Dell Latitude E6400, a brand new business laptop from Dell that is targeted for the small and medium business market.

Dell Latitude E6400 features
  • Powered by Intel Core 2 Processor
  • Bundled with Windows Vista (Home Basic, Business etc.)
  • Common 14.1” screen. You can get either an Ultrasharp Widescreen WXGA (1440x900) or Widescreen WXGA (1280x800)
  • Dual Channel DDR2 Memory
  • You have plenty of options for storage. You can get a Solid State hard drive up to 64GB or use common ones up to 250GB
  • Graphics runs on NVIDIA Quadro NVS or Intel Graphics Media Accelerator
  • Bluetooth and Ultra-Wideband are optional.

Dell Latitude E6400 sports a brand new look, different than the old Latitude models. Took a peek at Dell Latitude E6400’s official site just now and surprised to see that it boasts of its ability of achieving up to 19 hours of battery life. Really? Well, I guess you have to use a 9-cell battery pack to achieve that.

CNET editors did a quick review on Dell Latitude E6400 recently and they seems to like it, giving it a very good 7.8/10 rating. CNET did mention that Dell Latitude E6400 dishes out average performance and feels somewhat heavy for a new business laptop.
