The rumors I’ve been hearing about HTC DROID ERIS turn out to be true after all. Rumors have been saying HTC DROID ERIS will be launched today and true enough, the launch was announced earlier today by Verizon Wireless.
Verizon Wireless announces HTC DROID ERIS. Should you get one now or wait for HTC HD2?

The rumors were right about HTC DROID ERIS’s specs too. The new HTC smartphone sports a 3.2” capacitive touch screen, a 5-megapixel camera, USB support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, integrated GPS complete with a digital compass, a full HTML browser and that new HTC Sense UI (user interface). Each Verizon Wireless’s HTC DROID ERIS also comes with preinstalled 8GB microSD and mobile Google apps such as Google Maps, Gmail etc.
Verizon Wireless says that you should bring this new Android phone home for the holidays and they’re giving you a good price to do so. It is really affordable, you only have to fork out $99.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new 2-year contract) to bring it home but here’s the big question.
Do you really want to bring it home now? Let me remind you that HTC HD2 (runs on Windows Mobile but has more features than HTC DROID ERIS) will hit US early next year.
