Motorola DROID VS iPhone 3GS: Android 2.0 makes Motorola DROID looks like a winner

Motorola DROID VS iPhone 3GS

In general, I would say that PhoneDog’s second video clearly shows that Android 2.0 really makes Motorola DROID looks like a winner in its head-to-head matchup against the reigning champion of smartphones, the iPhone 3GS.

1. Motorola DROID delivers updates in one go

Motorola DROID has a convenient status bar (thanks to Android 2.0) where new messages, alerts, emails etc show up in a nice list that you can pull down to keep up with the updates or hide the whole thing when you no longer need it. This is a very handy feature, something that is clearly lacking in the iPhone 3GS.

2. Motorola DROID synchronizes everything for you

Android 2.0 comes from Google and Google has made sure that those using Google products such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts etc etc will have everything nicely synchronized for them whenever they’re using Motorola DROID. It doesn’t end there; Android 2.0 even offers synchronization to other apps such as Facebook and here’s how PhoneDog has described this cool feature:
“…Android is better at ‘At Always Connected’ multitasking…”

Despite PhoneDog’s positive reviews, I still think that Motorola could have done better and I’m also still leaning towards the opinion that Motorola DROID is poorly designed and performs sluggishly. Android 2.0 is the only big plus sign I see in Motorola DROID at the moment.
