I noticed that iPhone mobile application developers are all talking about Open Clip at the moment.
I did some diggings and found that Open Clip is a brand new Open Source project that has a very interesting objective. Open Clip wants to provide the elusive Copy and Paste functionality system-wide not only for iPhone but also for iPod Touch.

This is good news indeed!
Let me take a shot at Apple right now. Apple should be ashamed of themselves. They should have provided Copy & Paste functionality long time ago!

TechCrunch is not convinced that Open Clip is the real solution for iPhone’s Copy & Paste problem. TechCrunch argues that Apple can provide a better solution from their side but TechCrunch has to remember that Apple never did bother to provide that Copy & Paste functionality in the first place.

OpenClip is a non-profit, open-source, community-effort project, which promotes a framework for the iPhone that allows users to copy / paste between participating applications.
